What are the benefits of registering your hive?
Registration establishes your hives as having been based in a certain location for a documented period of time. Should zoning laws be passed, you may be able to claim that your apiary is grandfathered in. Should disease or a new infestation breaks out, you may be notified to treat your hives to prevent infection and help prevent further spreading of pathogens.
