Tropical Storm Warnings

We're in the calm before the storm and it might be a good idea to take the time to assess your bee yard's ability to survive high winds. The center of Isaias will pass to the west of CT which means we are on the wind side with gusts expected in excess of 60 mph.


Make sure your covers are weighed down with a heavy stone or you have them ratchet strapped like the one above. Notice that the strap goes through the cement blocks.

You might want to also consider securing other unoccupied equipment that can act as projectiles. Good luck with your bees!
