CBA is excited to announce that Randy Oliver will be a featured guest Zoom speaker at our upcoming October 8th Bee Talks. So save the date because you do not want to miss the opportunity to engage with one of the world's leading authorities on practical, scientifically based beekeeping. At this talk, Randy will review his latest research on measuring varroa using various wash substances including a surprizing find that a common dishwashing liquid is a very effective substitute for an alcohol wash. Randy is extremely well versed in all aspects of beekeeping and will be available to answer questions during and after the talk.  Be there! session starts with an open question & answer period followed by a seasonally-appropriate topic discussion designed to help guide you through the beekeeping year. Open to every beekeeper regardless of experience or the type of equipment you use, these sessions will support your beekeeping practice and give you the critical information you need to be successful.

Bee Talks are held on the second Thursday of each month* at the Rockfall Foundation (27 Washington Street in Middletown). The foundation operates in the historic deKoven House where there is ample parking and convenient public lots for additional paid parking.

Bee Talks are led by Bill Hesbach, owner of Wing Dance Apiary in Cheshire, EAS-Certified Master Beekeeper and graduate of the University of Montana’s Master Beekeeping Program. Bill is an author and his writings on beekeeping can be found in Bee Culture magazine and more. For additional information, contact Bill via his website www.WingDanceHoney.com

So bring your questions, and we hope to see you there!
