Our Bee Talks discussion group is your opportunity to engage with knowledgeable & experienced beekeepers for answers on beekeeping issues!

Time & Location
Jun 11, 2020, 6:30 PM – 8:00 PM
Zoom
Event Details
Each session starts with an open question & answer period followed by a seasonally-appropriate topic discussion designed to help guide you through the beekeeping year. Open to every beekeeper regardless of experience or the type of equipment you use, these sessions will support your beekeeping practice and give you the critical information you need to be successful.
The June topic will be about getting your colonies queenright after a swarm.
Bee Talks is temporarily being held as a video conference using Zoom.
For first time users, I recommend that you search Zoom.us in the app store, download the free Zoom app, and configure your device ahead of time. Trying to do it all at the time of the meeting may be too stressful. Then, once you are configured, the easiest way to join this meeting is to use the link below. Click the link, just prior to the meeting’s start time and you will be at the meeting automatically and the host will admit you.

Here's how we plan to make it work:
* Everyone will be set on mute so that we can minimize background noise. You can listen directly from your device or you can use headphones. Headphones may help if you are selected to talk by the host.
* When you connect to Zoom, make sure your video is on by clicking 'start video' and then choose an audio source so if you are taken off mute, we will be able to hear you. Most features and options are accessible within the Zoom app by either moving your mouse to the bottom of your computer/laptop screen or by touching the screen on your tablet or phone. You can set all this up ahead as mentioned above.
Bee Talks are led by Bill Hesbach, owner of Wing Dance Apiary in Cheshire, EAS-Certified Master Beekeeper, and graduate of the University of Montana’s Master Beekeeping Program. Bill is an author and his writings on beekeeping can be found in Bee Culture magazine and more.
So bring your questions, and we hope to see you on zoom
*Subject to change. Check the calendar on the right (or below for mobile users) for the date of the upcoming BeeTalks meeting.
